Parents FAQ's

What company is running the trip?

Premier Ski & Snowboard Ltd.

Who is in charge of the trip?

Party Leader form your school.

How will they be travelling to Austria?

Via coach and ferry (Dover/Calais crossing)

How long will it take to get there?

1 hour 45 on the ferry and approximately 14 hours from Calais into resort.

Who can I contact in an emergency?

Party Leader or PSS Resort Manager.

Do they get meals provided?

Breakfast, Lunch and dinner are all provided by Premier Ski & Snowboard.

5 Euro's will be provided each day for students to eat at any restaurant on the mountain.

What if my child has specific dietary requirements?

We can accommodate all types of dietary requirements with ease and sensitivity. Any allergies or intolerances must be passed on to the party leader so we can arrange for these specific requirements in good time.

What equipment is provided?

  • Skis/snowboard
  • Ski/snowboard boots
  • Poles
  • Helmet

What they need to take on the trip?

Please refer to the Kit List

Do they need any previous ski/snowboard experience?

No, we can provide all ages/abilities with the tools in order for them to have an enjoyable experience.

How much skiing/snowboarding will they get on the trip?

At least 4 hours 5 x per week. This may depend on the kind of package the school has booked.

Are all instructors qualified to ensure my child will be safe on the mountain?

All of our staff are fully trained instructor/guides and hold all of the relevant up to date qualifications.

How much spending money will they need to take?

100 euro's maximum

Is everything they need on the trip paid for?

Yes, the students will require a bit of money for snacks and drinks or there is chance to buy souvenirs etc on the ferry.

What can the students spend their money on?

On the journey - service stations for snacks & ferry

In resort - Snacks on the mountain & drinks in hotel

What can the students do in an evening?

There are activities planned in every night of the trip. This may depend on what the school want but here is what we offer:

  • Swimming
  • Bowling
  • Disco
  • Quiz Night
  • Presentation Night
  • Pizza Night

If there is an accident, what will happen to the injured person?

If a person is deemed to be in need of medical attention, then they will be taken to the nearest hospital in accordance with our accident & emergency procedure.

How will we get to find out if our child has been hurt?

It will be the resposibility of the party leader to contact the main emergency telephone number as shown on the paperwork provided by the school.
